George wowed Erie audiences in 2021 with an unforgettable performance of Rachmaninoff's Third Piano Concerto. Now he's back with plenty of notice and is ready to captivate our audience yet again. Li's stunning mastery of the keyboard will be on full display as he interprets the beloved Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, striking each note with precision and feeling.
Complementing this powerful piece, we will journey through the stormy realms of Nancy Galbraith's Tormenta del Sur and Dvořák's stirring Symphony No. 7, both pieces resonating with a unique blend of beauty and intensity. The holiday season is a time for joy, celebration and music—and our Come Home for the Holidays concert combines all three. Our guest vocalist, American Idol finalist Melinda Doolittle, will fill the Warner Theatre with her powerful voice, while the Philharmonic Chorus, Junior Chorus and Youth Chorale will lend their artistry to the performance. Ballet dancers will lend a touch of grace to the concert, and of course, no holiday event would be complete without a special visit from Santa himself.
This evening promises not only a showcase of holiday music but also a communal celebration of what makes this season so special. Join us for this merry and bright evening—it's the perfect way to usher in the holidays with your loved ones.
Melinda Doolittle is a soul–stirring songstress. An American Idol finalist, she is a flawless vocalist with irresistible artistry and effortless style compelling her audiences to keep listening.
We are honored to welcome back the fabulous dancers from the Mercyhurst University Dance Department, adding style, grace and movement to this beloved holiday tradition.
The musicians of the Philharmonic will be joined by not one or two, but three amazing vocal ensembles: the Philharmonic Chorus, our Junior Philharmonic Chorus and Youth Chorale!

Lindsay Ammann, whose voice has captivated audiences worldwide, joins forces with the Erie Philharmonic Youth Chorale and the women of the Philharmonic Chorus to deliver a riveting rendition of Mahler's masterpiece.
