  • Shall We Dance?

Saturday, Sep 26 at Warner Theatre · Symphonic

Opening night is an invitation to the dance. Young rising star Konstantin Soukhovetski performs Saint-Saëns' Piano Concerto No. 2 while the orchestra presents two virtuosic symphonic works in Maskats' Tango and Rachmaninoff's beloved Symphonic Dance. Shall we dance?

  • Beethoven's Eroica

Saturday, Nov 14 at Warner Theatre · Symphonic

One of the world's foremost harpists, Yolanda Kondonassis, with her techincal mastery and imaginative artistry, will perform a double Handel's charming Concerto for Harp and a 20th-century French beauty in Ravel's Introduction and Allegro. Originally created to honor the bold spirit of revolution embodied in the Napoleon, Beethove's _Eroica forcibly struck the dedicatee's name from the title once he learned the revolutionary had turned tyrant.

  • Splash!

Saturday, Jan 23 at Warner Theatre · Symphonic

With contrasting views of earth’s most precious element, Debussy’s sonic tour-de-force in La Mer is set against American Tobias Picker’s gentle Old and Lost Rivers. Lest things get too soggy our own talented concertmaster, Ken Johnston, in Mozart’s delightful and sunny Violin Concerto no. 1.
