Erie Art Museum
6:30pm - Cocktail Hour
There will be live music with the acoustic duo “Delaware Gap,” a jazz combo, drinks and light fare, a photo booth, a meet and greet with Maestro Daniel Meyer of the Erie Philharmonic, a silent auction, door prizes, and so much more!
7:30pm - Recital
Featuring musicians from the Erie Philharmonic in an intimate setting.
While this event will raise money to support all outreach efforts of the Junior League of Erie, most of the funds will go directly to fund a long-term residency (LTR) program currently taking place at St. Benedict’s Early Education Center in downtown Erie. This is an exciting program changing the lives of nearly 60 underserved preschool children in downtown Erie!
Two years ago, the Erie Philharmonic Orchestra sent out a teaching artist to lead a small residency reaching just 30 students for six days; it has since grown to a 20 week, 60 day program, with two years of impressive data showing the life-changing success of the program in the preschool students involved. (More information available at: eriephil.org/outreach.)
While the need for this work continues to grow, we, the Junior League of Erie, are looking to help support the program financially so it can continue to develop and reach its full potential!
