Once a year, a community member bravely steps forward to take the helm of the Erie Philharmonic as part of a critical fundraiser for our outreach activities.  Since 1969, the orchestra has been led by more than 45 individuals from across the region.

2016-17 Baton

We are honored too announce that this year's baton conductor will be Mili Chiang-Hanes.

On Saturday, April 1, before our Disney Favorites concert, Mili will take the baton and lead the Erie Philharmonic to conclude our 2016-17 Hanes Erie Pops Series.

We are beyond excited!

All donations made in Mili's honor will be used towards our outreach activities, which include:

  • Long Term residency for pre-school students at the St. Benedict Center
  • Instrument donations to local schools and facilities
  • Master classes
  • In-school visits
  • Instrumental petting zoos

Donations can be made by calling 455-1375, visiting the below website (select "Baton" from the designation drop down menu), or by mailing check made out to the Erie Philharmonic at 23 West 10th Street, Suite 3, Erie, PA 16501 (make sure to mark "Baton" on the check).
